Things I wish I knew before I tried it
The location is enchanting yet be prepared for noise disturbances and renovation sounds, which marred the experience. The staff can be dismissive when issues arise. Breakfast costs were shockingly high for what it offered. Be aware that not all rooms align with expectations set by online photos. It's a historical gem, but imperfect in function.

Couple looking for authenticity
We had a wonderful stay in a suite with grand canal view. The breakfast room has a view of the Palazzo Barbarigo and the Academy Bridge, which was just a feast for the eyes in the morning!
It wasn’t inexpensive but worth every penny.
